Gutter Cleaning and Inspection in
Hampstead NC

Hampstead's pine and oak canopy fills gutters with needles and leaves faster than almost anywhere on the corridor, and Harrison Creek's flooding during Florence showed what overflow can do. We hand-clear and flush them.

    Gutter Cleaning

    Pine Needles,
    Creek Country.

The established Hampstead neighborhoods, Olde Point, Pecan Grove, and Belvedere Plantation, are heavily wooded, and that canopy drops a steady load of pine needles, oak leaves, and seed pods into the gutters all year. Pine needles are the worst of it: they mat together and pack the downspout elbows where you cannot see them.

This is also creek-and-flood country. Cross Creek lost homes when Harrison Creek overflowed during Florence, and a gutter that cannot move water during a coastal downpour pushes it onto the fascia and toward the foundation. On the older homes here, fascia and soffit damage from chronic overflow is common and avoidable.

We hand-clear needles, leaves, and seed pods from the troughs, bag the debris, and flush every downspout until it runs clear. We check the fascia and soffit for early overflow damage and the discharge point so water gets away from the house. Photos on request. Licensed and insured, coastal NC owned and operated. Frequently Asked Questions

    Got Questions?

Gutter cleaning and inspection for Hampstead homes.

Why do pine needles clog gutters so badly?+

They are small enough to slip past most guards and they mat into a dense plug, usually at the downspout elbow where you cannot see it. A trough that looks fine can still be blocked underneath, so we clear and flush to be sure.

Do gutter guards mean I never need cleaning?+

No. Guards cut down on big leaves but pine needles, pollen, and shingle grit still get through and build up. We can clean over and under most guard systems and will tell you on the quote.

My fascia looks stained or soft. Is that from the gutters?+

Often, yes. Chronic overflow keeps the fascia and soffit wet and they start to rot. We flag early signs when we clean so you can address it before it spreads.

Do you clean the second-story gutters on wooded lots?+

Yes. Many Hampstead homes are two-story on wooded lots. We are equipped and insured for the height and flush the downspouts top to bottom.

When should I have them done?+

Twice a year for most wooded Hampstead lots: once after the spring seed-pod drop, once in late fall after the leaves. Heavily shaded lots sometimes need a third pass.
