    Patio Cleaning

    Your Patio,
    Back to Day One.

The patio is the most-used outdoor surface on most Wilmington properties and the one that shows wear fastest. Wilmington's long humid season grows algae in the shaded sections and mildew in the joints, spring coats everything in pollen, and summer adds grill grease and foot traffic. A patio that was crisp in April looks dingy by August.

Wilmington's range of homes means a range of patios: old brick and bluestone in the Historic District, stamped and broom-finished concrete in Mayfaire and Forest Hills, paver and travertine installations in Landfall. Each cleans up well, but a 19th-century brick patio and a new paver install do not get the same approach.

Bio-based detergent lifts the algae, mildew, pollen, and grease, and we match pressure to the material so brick joints and paver sand are not blown out. We can re-sweep polymeric joint sand on pavers as an add-on. Licensed and insured, coastal NC owned and operated. Free quotes, and we will test a spot on older stained surfaces before we commit.

    Got Questions?

    Patio pressure-cleaning for Wilmington homes.

What patio materials do you clean?+

Brick, bluestone, flagstone, slate, travertine, concrete pavers, stamped and broom-finished concrete, and exposed aggregate. We adjust technique to the material, which matters a lot on Wilmington's older brick and stone.

Can you clean Historic District brick without damaging old mortar?+

Yes, with care. Old brick and lime mortar need lower pressure and a gentler approach than modern hardscape. We test a spot first and keep the setting where the mortar joints stay intact.

What about the sand between my pavers?+

Standard cleaning can displace some joint sand. We can re-sweep and re-set polymeric sand as an add-on, and a lot of older paver patios benefit from the refresh anyway.

Will you get out the grill grease and the algae in the shade?+

Most of it. Grease lifts with a bio-based degreaser, and the shaded-area algae clears with the wash. We tell you on the quote what will come fully clean and what might leave a shadow.

How soon can I use the patio again?+

Walk on it once it dries, a couple of hours. Furniture back the same day. If we re-set polymeric joint sand, give it 24 hours before heavy use.
