Why does my concrete look darker in patches?

Start by giving it time and controlled drying instead of trying harsher cleaning. Don’t reach for “stronger” cleaning. Color can keep shifting for weeks, and in some cases you shouldn’t judge final, even-looking color for months. Case in point: a patch that stays darker at 2 weeks can still lighten noticeably as moisture leaves and the surface carbonates.

What you can do now: keep sprinklers off it, and get more even air and sun exposure (move rugs, planters, and anything that shades a single zone).
